(7,715 posts)She is EXACTLY the right VP candidate. She will not take one bit of shite from Trump/Pence, and she is law and order, given her role as DA and CA Attorney General. Yet, she is progressive and COMPLETELY self-made.
I live in the Bay Area, and I deeply proud that Senator Harris is going to be Vice-President in just a few months.
GO JOE AND KAMALA!

(6,178 posts)For a lot of reasons, she was the safest choice. Completely vetted, no surprises, no negatives. She can't cause him to lose AND she *will* make a good president. Maybe not in the next 3 years, but probably in 2024.

(3,428 posts)Shes smart and a terrific campaigner. Elizabeth Warren was my choice in the primary, but Harris is the absolute best choice for these times.

(1,757 posts)I was worried that hed chose someone who was competent but un-charismatic.
Harris is very relatable. I can see her being able to run and win when the time comes. At this point, theres really nothing more important than that.

(4,726 posts)I think she will make an excellent VP, and someday she will be an excellent president.

(68,359 posts)Not that I have any issue with Harris.
I just don't get too wound up over the running mate.
I didn't vote for BHO because he picked Biden.
Gore didn't influence me on Clinton.
And so on.
So, I'm good with it, but it doesn't move my needle in either direction.
Nine, it is.

(9,846 posts)We need a huge turnout in November, and that will likely move the swing states in our direction. Also the oppo research on her is not likely to come up with a whole lot. She's clean as a whistle and that's great.
