(75,839 posts)Is there such a thing as MORE unstable?
Once someone has gone off the deep end, they've passed the point of going "more".
And, even if it could happen, isn't a " little" unstable too much for a POTUS?

(10,912 posts)... it was ruled out... can't recall what source. It was a TV reporter.
(and, of course... Trump more unstable? Is that possible?)

(4,575 posts)Also did you see John Dean saying the GA senators will be seated as soon as their election is certified rendering Mitch incapable of stopping the impeachment? Can this happen prior to inauguration? I didn't catch the whole thing.

Or go find Mother and persuade her to convince Pence, since she seems to be the only one he listens to or is fearful of.

(11,780 posts)And have agreed to act at some certain point. Not sure what they could agree on as over the line, but for instance trying to launch nuclear weapons would trigger immediate action. Its a dangerous game they are playing with someone who is so obviously crazed.

(71,491 posts)Y'all Qaeda to assassinate Pence. He is very vindictive Trump is and will not doubt encourage his followers to continue to harrass or even kill Mike Pence. A VP only gets one year of protection...but if he was president for a time...it would be lifetime protection which he may need.

(15,486 posts)You got involved in the mess over 4 years ago, and now Trump's cult members want you dead regardless.
That's what you get for dealing with intolerant crazies with very strict "purity" rules... per their church leaders, Hannity, etc.

(15,486 posts)The House would then only need a simple majority (50%) to enact a "temporary" removal that lasts for 21 days... which would effectively be permanent with the inauguration of Biden/Harris happening in the interim.
The 2/3 vote is for permanent removal per the 25th, if that had been tried long ago.

(93,196 posts)Can we take that away from Trump also and give it to Pence ?

(2,182 posts)It wont be off the table until Biden is inaugurated. Until then, its a carrot hes dangling to make it seem like hes a responsible person. He supported Trump to tightly for too long for anybody to even suppose he might do the right thing
He still has Presidential ambitions. He wont do anything more to antagonize Trumps base

(6,414 posts)Then they won't have to vote against him.
Buckeye_Democrat
(15,486 posts)It might be happening as we type. None of those cowards want to upset their voting base of nut jobs.
Some of them like Romney are more insulated from them, since he can rely on his own Mormon cult to keep him in office.

(3,299 posts)Pence has no intention of using the 25th. Just a deflection IMO.
Quixote1818
(31,120 posts)keep Trump at bay. As one poster above pointed out. It would let the GOP Congress off the hook because they are screwed either way. If they vote against it the moderate Dem they run against might beat them. If they vote for it then they get primaried. If he is taken out they have a clean slate.
