Let's get the investigations going. Note that this is a new story from today and is separate from Raffensperger's administrative request that he made on Monday.
Fulton County prosecutors have initiated a criminal investigation into former President Donald J. Trumps January phone call to the Georgia secretary of state asking him to find votes.
Prosecutors in Fulton County have initiated a criminal investigation into former President Donald J. Trumps attempts to overturn Georgias election results, including a phone call he made to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in which Mr. Trump pressured him to find enough votes to help him reverse his loss.
On Wednesday, Fani Willis, the recently elected Democratic prosecutor in Fulton County, sent a letter to numerous officials in state government, including Mr. Raffensperger, requesting that they preserve documents related to Mr. Trumps call, according to a state official with knowledge of the letter. The letter explicitly stated that the request was part of a criminal investigation, said the official, who insisted on anonymity to discuss internal matters.

(415 posts)But, I don't trust him. It should be the Fulton Co. Prosecutor. The SOS is the prime witness and should not be the prosecutor.
Lock him up.
(7,581 posts)The district attorney says her office has jurisdiction in the matter because other state and federal agencies - including the Secretary of State's Office, Attorney General's Office, and U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia - were at various turns pressured by Trump in his campaign to have Georgia's election results overturned.
That, the letter argues, leaves the Fulton County DA's Office as "the one agency with jurisdiction that is not a witness to the conduct that is the subject of the investigation."
"This agency has jurisdiction over this matter because this judicial circuit is where the Georgia government entities that were contacted are headquartered, including the Office of the Governor, the Secretary of State, the Attorney General and the General Assembly," the letter states.

(23,135 posts)Where his co-conspirators are on his jury.
And what chaos will ensue from people taking lead on QOP juries not convicting guilty QOP leaders for blatant crimes, impeachable crimes, jailable crimes, treasonous seditious crimes? Will the citizenry take it upon themselves to perpetrate crimes and use the excuse that the double-impeached president did far worse and wasn't convicted. Why should they.
Let someone, anyone be the first to stop this runaway QOP madness!!!
