Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsAre we now going to say that the DOJ can't pursue Trump because it will detract from a Biden agenda?
If impeachment was a "distraction" and an impediment to the Biden agenda, how the hell is an ongoing investigation, run by Biden's DOJ (which unlike the Senate is not in a separate branch of government), not a distraction and an impediment?
Please explain.

Garland will be a busy guy.
Impeachment and DOJ processes are two different things. Impeachment was always going to fail. That's why many considered it a waste of time when much needs to be done on the Biden agenda.
It also has nothing to do with pursuing Biden's agenda.

No distraction, just do their jobs. The problem is that Congress is failing to do its job. We don't need a President who rules by executive order, we need a Congress that passes laws for that President to sign. Any and all of President Biden's EOs can/will be countered by the next Republican president, and there will eventually be one. A law, however, is much more difficult to overturn. We, the voters, must hold the collective feet of Congress to the fire and insist they do our bidding, or else we vote them out and bring in someone that will.
