I could use it, but I wasn't really expecting it. I'm always one of those people who doesn't quite make enough to be well-off, but makes too much to ever qualify for any benefits or tax credits.

Stimulus wasn't there. Just checked 5 minutes ago and it was there for the 17th.

The last stimulus went to a closed account, and I was not able to update. I will probably get a check. I sure do hope they don’t send to that closed account again.

Last one took a few weeks after they passed it.

We only got 20% last time, nothing this time.
Do we need it? No.
Do I think reducing the stimulative effect of keeping the upper limit where it was originally a good idea? Also, no.

We have filed online with direct deposit for years. Suddenly, last year, our daughter was no longer a dependent (yay for her!) and that dawned on us too late to adjust witholdings. So we paid taxes. Becasue the most recent tax filing did not have a direct deposit we got the last stimulus as a check long after all the direct deposit people got theirs.

It’s a rescue. As in “American Rescue Plan.” Passed by Congress (And by “Congress” I mean the Democrats.).

Call it what it is.

I filed a tax return, which I normally don't do because my only income is Social Security, to make sure I get my rescue check. I filed a "dummy" tax return last year to assure the first checks arrive via direct deposit.

No idea how accurate it is but I reckon I'll see it when I see it.

We got ours today instead of tomorrow. That's the kind of wrong I can live with!
