Is The Dr. Phil Show just "Boomer rage-bait?"

The 1 minute video clip is staged.
And it was successful, garnering the teen her sought popularity.

I’d think most certainly the show’s seasoned professionals knew full well this was a scheme by the mother b daughter pair, and were totally fine with enabling the performance piece.

In the Reddit discussion, the cynicism runs deep, and snarky.
They generally assume it’s a “boomer rage-bait” show, so do you expect.

But the show’s audience was entertained.
The participants rewarded.
Who are the victims ?

Imho our culture is getting stranger by the day.
I’m just feeling more and more confused lol !

... in the same category as Jerry Springers show was. Yes there is some exploitation going on. Yes it's meant to be entertaining. Any victims of Dr. Phil would be the viewers who watch this stuff.

this was before streaming and we had few choices in the middle of the day.

It was stupid, but he said one thing that has proven to be true.

That was that if it is good sex is maybe 10% of happiness in marriage. If it is bad, it is 90%...

Other than that one thing, the rest was useless tripe.

We eventually found the remote.
