they're ALL so good!!!! I threw my vote in for "still snowing"... it just fits with that little bird's expression and cock of the head as he looks down at the chunk of snow on his bird feeder. With the little snips of snow in the background, it's framed beautifully. But then, like I said, all of them are SO great. It's just this little photo spoke to me loud and strong, deep in my soul.

Just beautiful, every last one of them, but I had to go with my very first choice since I'm a real sap for barns and wintry scenes and the "serenity" I feel looking at it.

Thanks to all for these perfect reminders of the importance of Mother Nature's beauty.

Each photo is amazing and I love them all. It's going to be a hard decision

But I was mesmerized by the birds. Once again, "still snowing?" needed no extra votes, so I voted for "She", who is so self-contained, fluffed up, gently colored, and beautifully framed. Living in upstate NY, I sometimes think of the original inhabitants, who spent every winter without central heating, or hot showers, or any of the comforts we may take for granted. And the birds live their entire lives without modern conveniences. They're stoic and beautiful.

The wan setting sun below a winter sky with cirrus clouds and contrails. The beautifully silhouetted tree so stark and crisp. But it was the ground. Is it ice or a melted pond?

It says to me, indeed, Winter's Almost Gone.

as it reminds me of a tree that is being protected whilst the new Pattulo Bridge is being built here.

Truly, each photo is beautiful -- worthy of enlarging and framing. Of course, I find winter scenes to be peacefully mesmerizing, thus my favorite.

You hit the large orange rectangle to the right of the name of the group in the top left of the page.

Then, every time that orange rectangle lights up, click it and see what's going on. The announcements for each month's photo contest normally show up very near the start of each month.
