A genuine smile is one done with both the mouth and the eyes. It seems to me that if he is indeed smiling with his eyes, it's just because he knows how to fake it.

It should be clear that a Divine-human is not something to be gained; something not there that later comes to be there.
If the Divine is real, it is always everywhere at all times in all space.
