(131,241 posts)and is complaining about the people who have been rigging his sailboat or his parachute. With respect to skydiving, I shouldn't say that his having an incompetent rigger would be a good thing...
fierywoman
(8,631 posts)but he didn't do that well enough to get the result he wanted?
Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)You know how sometimes, you're absolutely sure of something even though you have no hard evidence it's true?
That's how I feel about what you asked.

(7,781 posts)They will just go to default auto-pilot generic racist hate or otherwise known as whatever the day of the week is?
He gets plausible old man deniability and sneaky win win in his dullard asshole mind?

(3,523 posts)Whether he thought of it, or someone brought the idea to him, they probably laughed and laughed. They thought this was a total OWN of African-Americans.
This one has legs. It will take off in their own little world. Tshirts. Memes. Rally chants. See it coming a mile away.

(41,102 posts)Oh, absolutely he meant the other word!! All caps & last word of the post to call attention to it. He's truly a piece of shit. Human garbage.

(29,512 posts)It is a well known usage of the alt right to gte around filters.

(3,120 posts)no.
The guy is an ass, but aren't we going off the rails just a little?
This reminds me of the JFKJ cryptic KKK numbers conspiracy a week or two ago.

(43,850 posts)And the bigots are all nyuk-nyukking over it, as they always do. He cant be unaware of the effect.
obamanut2012
(29,512 posts)They mean the Nword. You are wrong.
Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)...it's that far-fetched.
The rightwingers have a childish mentality, they really do feel they're being clever with stuff just like that.
randr
(12,653 posts)was so he could use that rhetoric.
obamanut2012
(29,512 posts)It is a very well known thing the alt-right use. It started on TheDonald subreddit to circumvent the TOS, and continued after they were deplatformed.
Again, he is saying the nword. This is a well known usage.

(54,884 posts)Trump is a racist POS, but this whole thing is a very large stretch.

DemocratSinceBirth
(102,012 posts)And on twitter there's posters typing "rigger lover", "I hate riggers", and "I can't believe he went there". He knows exactly what's he doing like when he used the Star of David to denigrate Hillary's large donors. He's a bigot to his very marrow.
Celerity
(54,884 posts)Trump has ranted about rigging for years, and the syntaxical flow of his rant this time is clearly linear.

Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)...his racist followers think they're clever, they think they're "owning the libs!" when he does obvious crap like this.

(41,256 posts)Good Godz
Saying "riggers" in the context of his statement about "rigged" elections is a very Trump thing to do.

(3,110 posts)Hell no!
Its always worst than it even seems with him.
If it seems like it might be racist, it is.
If it sounds like it might be a threat, it is.
If he is accusing someone of something, he himself has actually done the thing.

(11,450 posts)random words and fragments float around in the empty spaces and sometimes they meet and form what passes for thought. He could have thought he was being clever and slipping a pejorative past his critics. Or he couldn't spell "manipulators". Anyway, his posts are for his core base, which doesn't go in for big words or nuanced thought.

Tommy Carcetti
(44,586 posts)So yes, but a qualified yes.
I don't think he was ever going to actually use N****r, but I think he's constantly appealing to the worst of his base and playing cute by having them think of the word.

(35,135 posts)The only people who might actually feel hurt by his outbursts and racist nicknames are the handful of black magats who support him.
The rest of us are pretty much at the "please proceed, asshole" stage. This won't help his case. If anything, he'll be looking at more felonies.
As far as the target he's putting on African Americans, especially in the Atlanta metro area--this has been the case his entire presidency and beyond. I have to take extra precautions especially when I'm in rural counties. I've advised all my friends and family, especially those living in Fulton county, to cover the county name on their car tags with the optional "in God we trust" stickers.
superpatriotman
(6,882 posts)Then his poll numbers will rise, and it will be used in every speech. He will re establish the verboten word as commonplace for a large percentage of the country.
I know some of these people - They want to say it so bad.
