(9,347 posts)ultimately. You stayed on this, and took a whole mess of crap from Couy and his enablers for it!

(4,341 posts)He alone set a precedent.
Now it’s being discussed and justified.
He’s got to be walking around with a smile on his face.

(17,292 posts)We NEED to get action on this - yes, it does need to go 'under appeal' - charges are now being filed. We KNOW that the tRumpists will cry holy-hell about them and file appeals.
GOOD!
We need to take this way up - way fast to the Supreme Court! Why?
Because THEY will be the ultimate 'deciders' (yeah, that's what "W" said he was ) about whether this will be one way to keep IQ45 from EVER holding public office again! And while it may 'fry the butts' of several sitting Justices - those 'originalists' will have to choke on their own vomit to rule against this claim!
The way things have been going with the courts - especially the 'Supremes' - nothing would surprise me. But this is one issue we need to resolve NOW - either it IS or it IS NOT!
It would make for great TV drama to see how the SCOTUS could tell 2 of the Federalist Society 'scholars' that they don't know what they're talking about!
We're moving, friends. Pressure everywhere. We've got to keep it going!
We were so thrilled when he ruled over a year ago about Couy and hoping it would go higher.

(19,023 posts)Judge Mathew has not weighed in on the current discussion over Trump being disqualified under the 14th amendment, so I’m not sure where you get the idea that the judge is “having a great day”…
