It's a crowded field.

It would be an interim appointment, and not from the announced candidates, so as to not give that person an unfair advantage.

Lee, as the only black female in on the race, took umbrage with an interim appointment, when without that incumbency she comes in third.

I wasn’t looking at it from her perspective.

It would not be wise to choose any of them.

It'd be nice if Boxer was chosen given her history and relationship with Feinstein.

maybe sometime that taught something related like US history, government etc

would be a nice pick to shake up the staid Senate.

Let the voters decide IMO.

At least for the interim period before the next Congress convenes in January 2025.

Karen Bass just got elected as mayor of LA and she is needed there. The only other black woman I can think of is Maxine Waters.

None of the three however will likely be appointed to the interim seat.

Because Newsom has already said he won't appoint one of those three.
