15 years ago today, then-Senator @BarackObama was elected president. Take a look back at his remarks from Grant Park

"This is our Time." Hard to believe it has been 15 years. Seems like yesterday--for the moment anyway.

15 years ago today, then-Senator @BarackObama was elected president.

Take a look back at his remarks from Grant Park in Chicago that night:

There are tears in my old eyes after listening (again) to his perfect response to being elected.

I remember that night, I had high hopes for our future. And then the tea party happened in 2010, Trump happened and now the cusp of fascism in America is literally one election away if we lose...it's just amazing how far we fell from a historic election in 2008.

We were busy living our lives while Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, Ralph Reed and others were working feverishly to DESTROY. Steve Bannon has openly wished to destroy our democracy for some time. He seems farther along with his wish and the majority of Americans don't seem to mind! Hard not to be extremely depressed!

And I'm saddened by that.

I'll blame a lot of it on Trump.

A HRC Two-Term Presidency would have been the way to go.
