You can't have a political party comprised of only the purist narcissists. McConnell has (barely) a modicum of empathy but that's his downfall in today's MAGA-ridden Republican party.

But yeah, it was a little alarming to watch. I think they gave him a heads-up that he should get out of the way. If Trump wins the election (gawd forbid!) , he won't want the Turtle as minority/majority leader in the Senate.

It all looks kind of fishy to me. They're clearing every path for Trump to become dictator for life. I really hope this is just a paranoid suspicion on my part. If it isn't, my family and I will be driving across the US/Canada border the next morning, never to return.
