Perhaps he thought President Biden might say it was John McCain.

According to a couple of the accounts I've read about the 2020 election and the last days of the trump administration, Biden and Graham were actually fairly close friends. There's a video somewhere of an interview with Graham in which he actually starts to get genuinely emotional when the subject of Beau Biden's death came up.

It all came to a crashing halt when Graham drank the Hunter Biden Flavor-Aid*. Graham said something about Hunter Biden's "wrongdoing" to Biden over the phone, and that was the end of it.

That said, one can see the beginnings of the madness whenever Democrats on the Judiciary Committee brought up genuine concerns about one of trump's SCOTUS nominees. Graham seemed genuinely angry that someone would do such a thing, no matter how credible the accusations.

The Graham I saw in that interview showed a certain amount of humanity. Patrician right-wing humanity, but humanity nonetheless. I keep hoping that Data will show up and flash lights in the eyes of Graham and the rest of the trump-addicted Enterprise D crew. Of course, it may be too late for that.

And for those who don't get the allusion - here's a clip from the Star Trek TNG episode in question. An alien creates what looks like a video game intended to develop an addiction to whoever plays it. The alien then plans to control the Enterprise once the whole crew is hooked. Everyone gets addicted except Wesley Crusher and Data, who figures out a way to circumvent the plot. The episode also includes a very young Ashley Judd.

and it is one that does not reek of raw cruelty, like the humorless attempts at humor that Trump relies on during his stand-up-routine-esque rallies.

Then he had put up with this pissant's grilling.

And I hope it cuts him to the quick. I hope someday soon many of these career Rupugs wake from their collective stupor and realize they sold the last shreds of their honour and dignity to gain the approval of a third rate rapist conman.

Make double-dog-dare sure you VOTE. Either mailing, online, or walk-in - or whatever.

We CANNOT forget what's at stake. Is it them? Or us? Who stays in and who's shown the door? That orange guy needs to be put FIRMLY in his place in November, sending a VERY clear message that he and his nutcase followers will NOT be allowed to run ANYTHING, much less the country.

And consider: "Vote Them Out" is as simple as can be. Not hard to remember at all! Boils it right down. Three little words. The number three is powerful anyway. The slogan sticks in the mind. It takes seconds to write down or type or post. Fits on a bumpersticker or postcard. Right to the point. Boom-boom-boom.
