Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker bashes Pride Month, tells women to stay in the kitchen

Imagine working your butt off for 4 years in college to have it conclude with this garbage.

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker rails against Pride month, abortion and "diabolic lies" told to women in commencement speech

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker railed against Pride month, working women, President Biden's leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and abortion during a commencement address at Benedictine College last weekend.

The 28-year-old Butker then took aim at Biden's policies, including his response to COVID-19, which has killed nearly 1.2 million people in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

SNIP -----
"While COVID might have played a large role throughout your formative years, it is not unique," he said. "The bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues. Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for the degenerate cultural values and media all stem from pervasiveness of disorder."

SNIP-----
Butker later addressed the women in the audience, arguing that their "most important title" should be that of "homemaker."

"I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolic lies told to you," Butker said. "Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world. I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother."

Most kickers jump through hoops to be part of the team because a lot of them don't consider kickers to be football players.
Now, this fool is making a scene, getting negative press, and expressing views probably not shared by an awful lot of teammates.
I can't imagine Reid & Mahomes are too happy about this.

They have together since they were sophomores in high school. They know each other's strengths and weaknesses. Nor does Patrick try to CONTROL Brittany. And she supports Patrick's dreams. She keeps Patrick grounded.

He is one of the top five kickers in the league. It is not like he was racing his car at 70 miles over the speed limit causing an accident with injuries and walking away or him or his buddies putting a beat down on a man that puts him in the hospital with serious injuries. One of those will probably bet at most an 8 game suspension and the other got three games.

The coach's son got a commutation of this his DWI sentence. The DWI led to serious debilitating injuries to a little girl.

I suspect Mahomes and him will just avoid talking politics.

Remember KC drafted a man that put his girlfriend in the hospital.

I have a friend whose son punted for Ohio State and kicked and punted for Bowling Green before that.
He holds the record for the longest punt in Ohio State @ 72 yards and tried to make it in the NFL and
got picked for 3 straight years for training camps but was always cut @ the end of camp and the team
would go with their veteran kicker and or punter for the regular season. This way the veteran player’s leg
wasn’t used up aka tired when the games count.

He told me that there about about 200 to 300 kickers/punters in America more if you count Australian,
rugby players along with European soccer players and only 32 NFL spots and the competition for those
spots is brutal. K.C. could cut this guy tomorrow and get at least 1/2 dozen different kickers ready to
try out for the team and if K.C. thought getting rid of this guy would make Mahomes happier than he will
be gone ASAP. Besides he might be a clubhouse cancer.

Sports has its creeps. I am thinking Aubrey Huff formerly of the SF Giants.
He was not invited to the 10th reunion of a World Series team.
Posted lots of hate and derogatory speech online.

Let's see how KC deals with the bad pub.

and others became "important" on news shows, we think they somehow no something beyond their limited sphere of knowledge and therefore we consider them to be "important" in politics and the running of our country. They know no more than the rest of us unless they have the experience, education and knowledge of the political world. Yet, in the search to get "exclusives", have those in other fields who are "names" and willing to do anything to get viewers, our news media have prostituted themselves by mining those people.

Both sides do it. Think of all those who qualify as "names" on our side and who express an opinion of support, how many of them really know any more than a typically educated person and thus deserve to be listened to? Republicans and Democrats seek out these people to somehow "prove" to the rest of us that their side is better instead of focusing on accomplishments, policy, and what is needed to keep our country safe, healthy, educated, and employed for everyone.

Unless I know someone presented as a person to be listened to, really has the experience, education and knowledge of the political world, I ignore them. All it does is help them promote their agenda.

Don’t bother having goals of being a doctor, lawyer, nurse, teacher. None of that. Just focus on getting prepared to be someone’s wife and a baby vessel. So what happens if she disagrees with dad? Is she subject to stoning?
