The latter of which if apparently in alignment with enough ignorant voters can get you elected. And holding power, despite any ability to do something worthwhile with it, is all they care about.

I tend to think fear is in there somewhere.

Fear of what?

Retribution?

Losing Vlad's money?

Blackmail?

Losing protection?

Losing face to their voters?

Etc. etc...

What kind of hold does he have over these people?
So many Republicans standing around just waiting for a chance to grovel at his feet.
Trump is looking more and more like Hitler 2.0 every day.

And in the darkness bind them.

Wow, that fits all right!

When he made that speech (or was it speeches, I can't remember) ripping TSF a new one over the insurrection, I was cheered and amazed. "Wow," I thought, "maybe this guy isn't 100% pure evil after all."

Ha ha ha on me. We all know how that turned out. And Mitch wasn't the only one, either. Having the living daylights scared out of them had a surprising (though brief) effect on a lot of those Republicans. They actually sounded halfway sensible for a couple of seconds there. It's just a damned shame it didn't last.

MBC.

Both of them.

The lizard on the left would probably rather sniff the butt of the lizard on the right (them farts smell real good!), but they are on TV so they'll just shake hands for now.

Butt-sniffing will happen later out of camera range?

Uncle Tim Scott on the far left probably thinking along the lines of "I love this man. How do I get in on that action? My tongue, his bung."
