It has to do with the MSM being owned and managed by reich wing oligarchs. Keith Olbermann and Dylan Ratigan weren't fired from MSNBC to get clicks and ratings.

Every single individual who is running, or wants to get on the ticket individually, is old. 70+ years old. If the people of the US had a huge issue with this, it would have shown up in the primaries. It didn't, so therefore, all these johnny-come-latelys need to kick back and keep their mouths shut and opinions to themselves at this juncture. They had a choice to have their voice heard when it could have counted for something and didn't speak up. Kinda like the old line "should anyone here have a reason why these two people shouldn't be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace."

And I absolutely do not believe polls, and think anyone who's using these as "proof" of anything should look back at how bad the polls have been off since 2015, perhaps even back to 2008. We haven't had a "normal" presidential election for quite some time ("Normal" as in two white males in their 50s, as far as most of the casual public is concerned). I think there are actual environmental elements that skew the poles for some people, I also think they get skewed by those who are more partisan than fair, and I think they're skewed at the source by the type of questions asked and how they're phrased. Then, whatever the answer, that response is then skewed once again when it makes it into media. There's statistics and damned statistics. And you can make the numbers mean anything you want them to mean. And the media does, because the owners want their tax cuts!

Their opening headline was about how Joe Biden was speaking in front of NATO "to save his campaign" or some such bullshit. I immediately turned them the fuck off. Was hoping for some actual news, but they're still at this bullshit. Joe's fine doing his actual job, but not good enough to campaign to do the same goddamn job he's currently has no problem doing? What the ever-loving fuck? We've heat peak gaslighting.

I think it will get worse...how Biden's "cognitive decline" is the ONLY subject on this mornings shows but not a mention of tsf not saying anything of true substance in months. No mention of the Epstine call logs with tsf's name in there over 60 times. The 4th estate and the SC are no longer trustworthy. Haven't been in years. Voters have one more chance. I think they'll reverse the slide.

There might have been some logic in that had it been well before the convention. Do have to wonder if anyone have been thinking strategically at the DNC for some time.

Okay, I know that this is not a popular thing to say around here, but bear with me.

I think Biden should step aside from the presidency… in September 2027.

He should put significant effort in increasing Kamala’s experience and expertise in 2025, 26 and 27.

Next he should step aside and make her president.

Then she should nominate Joe to be Vice President.

Finally the video teams should be standing by to film exploding republican heads.

Okay, Okay, I may have had one too many gummies before going to bed last night.

They ignore the Epstein files with Trump's name all over them.

They are all in the bag for Trump.....when has the media ever been on the same sheet of music except in a media frenzy? When the media approaches a topic calmly and rationally, there are differing opinions. They don't all agree. When they are coordinate with frenzied attacks on just one person it is a media frenzy designed to sway voters and Avoid the truth.

It was an issue that was brought up in the primaries preciously and then put to rest. Better a frenzy about a topic that is known to have some interest then a topic without any history.

Trump repeated it himself on a golf cart interview. When the GOP candidate joins in, you know it's of no substance. The GOP never does substance except for giveaways to the filthy-rich.

Russian Trolls and bots are all over, even on DU, repeating it with their bad English, misspellings and failing logic.

Previously little known Dems come out supporting it.

It happens a few months before the elections when drastic changes could railroad the campaign .

The same issue the media is attacking on is ignored with the GOP candidate.

It attacks a very successful seemingly winnable candidate. Who else has beaten Trump in a head to head campaign? Trump has five time the baggage that is ignored.

It's nonstop from ever right wing controlled and left wing pretending corporate media entity.

It's all one big con to get you a fascist dictator who will bow to the filthy-rich...they hope.

People need to understand there is no appeasing this sort of baying mob. It must be stood off and shut down.

Should Mr. Biden agree he is not up to campaigning for the office, this is tantamount to confession he is not up to the duties of the office itself.

Driving him from office would be an even greater scalp than making him forego his candidacy, so you may be sure dozen of 'journalists' are licking their lips for the taste of it....

Biden is sharp as a tack. He's also a tough old buzzard.

My dad was sharp as a tack until 2 days before his death at 89.

So don't judge anyone by the calendar. Look at what they do and listen to what they say. That will tell you more of the story.

Biden is nowhere near being shuffled off to a nursing home. There is a line of succession in place should that change in the next 4 years.

End of story, really.

Morons gonna mo, I guess. However, they don't seem to do that much of it on DU.
