I love Joe and am thankful for his service to his country. I would vote for him without hesitation.

I would also vote for anyone else that was the Democratic nominee. And I am not going to shit on other good Democratic leaders for voicing concern. I still love Obama, Pelosi, Schumer and Jeffries.

It is possible to love Joe and not accuse every Democrat that would like to see a change of being corporate, billionaire, ratfucking sellouts.

One can appreciate all of Biden's wonderful qualities as a person, a Democrat, and a great leader of our country for the past 4 years. The fact is, if he stays in the race and ends up losing to a convicted felon intent on tearing our democracy asunder, all the good will Biden has built up, all the respect and admiration, will vanish in an instant. He will be blamed, and rightly. To protect his legacy, he needs to find it within himself to heed the advice of party leaders.

But I do think it’s a mistake to keep leaking to the media. These discussions should be completely private.

I believe all of our Democratic representatives care for this country and the people. They aren't sellouts. They are being backed into a corner by those who have a lot of money to fund campaigns. We need to support Biden and our reps. I agree that most, if not all, of us will support the blue regardless; however, I'm not certain that is a wise position to declare publicly. If you want our reps to stand firm with Dark Brandon, they need leverage. The only leverage they have is the base. If I were Schiff, or Pelosi, or any of the others, I'd be warning those who are, shall we say "exploiting if not extorting" that if they lose the base the election will truly be lost. Our times are terrifying, but we can't let fear cause us to be stupid and throw the Biden out with the bath.

because they want the money.

And those donor class dude bros tell them what to do.

it's Citizens United and a bunch of other things that brought us here, but the rich guys are angry at Biden for addressing things for non-rich people, instead of bending over backward to do their bidding. This is them screaming "Don't you know who I am!". They want to see the manager and get someone fired because they feel some way about things.

I guess it’s okay. It’s okay to trade the Democratic process of honoring votes in the primaries for corporate dollars and letting the wealthy override who will be on our ticket.

It’s too bad a lot of our reps can’t get voted in on their own merits. They have to cling to the top of the ticket and preen for the wealthy to squeak by.

Fear will destroy us if that’s what this is about, but I suspect it is handwringing over big donor contributions. Choosing corporate money over the will of the voters will put the final nail in the coffin of our Democratic Republic.
