Trump knew about Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation, and Vance's connection to all of it. I wouldn't be surprised if he did exactly as you said, but has nothing to do with reputation as much as how much $ is involved. Although, it would save everyone a bunch of $ if the Orange Idiot just croaked. As stated above, he better watch his back.

I assume Vance wrote this before Trump got shot at by a Republican....
