"SNIP............

Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts, who spearheaded the "Project 2025" drafting, is publishing a new book in which he claims the far-right will take "back" Washington, D.C.

Roberts brought in one of the right-wing movement's new characters, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), to write a review to help sell the book, and it is causing a lot of laughter and a lot of anger.

"Project 2025" is the Heritage Foundation's 900-plus-page guide to how the government will be run if Trump wins in 2024. It outlines a mass firing of civil servants, non-partisan, non-political staff, and experts who work for government agencies. They would be replaced with staff who swear an oath to Donald Trump. Other changes include eliminating the Department of Education and other agencies.

"Never before has a figure with Roberts' depth and stature within the American right tried to articulate a genuinely new future for conservatism... We are now all realizing that it's time to circle the wagons and load the muskets. In the fight that lay ahead, these ideas are an essential weapon," Vance said.

First, in my many decades of life, I have been leaned left, right & center at different times. Second, in my opinion, again, over my many decades of life, I have seen both left & right actually reverse their positions. With today's vast and varied information sources, it is really hard for the ordinary citizen to get down to the actual facts. Like Joe Friday on Dragnet, said: "JUST THE FACTS, MA'AM", is a seemingly impossible task these days. I do my best the read, research, even pull up Senate & House bills being discussed, and I actually read it to see what it really says AND importantly, which parts (often very important parts) has everyone failed to mention at all... like the fine print on a contract that they really don't want you to notice. Regarding, Project 2025, FIRST, in my research, I have found it is a product of the Heritage Foundation (a right leaning think tank) and the forward was written by a Kevin Roberts. SECOND, I have read that Trump is behind it and also read that Trump had nothing to do with it. I feel confident in the info on the FIRST point, but the SECOND, all I find is opinions and nothing factual. I am uncertain, so far, whether it even matters since it is the product of a think tank and not from elected officials or candidates & no where in any bills, etc. My opinion is that we must invest some time and hard work to get to the truth. I think as Americans, WE ALL DESERVE THE TRUTH good or bad. If anyone here has sources that are known for "JUST THE FACTS MA'AM", I hope you can share with me. I am not very "I.T. savvy" but can read & understand all I can find on issues. Thanks

asked to support it I think in the nomination race. (Don't know if this is exactly what happened but it was the plan). It was a way to control politicians.

not just a "right leaning think tank". I've got the 900+ page pdf on my computer and I'm working through it. The best thing is that it's searchable. Put in abortion and you get 199 hits & learn that the goal is to ban it nationally, not let each state decide.

I think you need to read the document and decide if you agree with the premises. Trump consistently lies about everything and is going to run fast away from Project 2025 while he's trying to convince moderates to vote for him. But he absolutely is going to be influenced by things coming out of the Heritage Foundation, particularly if his VP wrote the forward to the most recent iteration.

No, MAGA, Fox, Heritage Foundation, we don't want to live in your neo-fascist authoritarian hellscape, OK? So stop forcing that shit on us, and the billionaires who want it can stick it where it don't shine.

He doesn't have any policy in mind other than staying out of jail, ruining NATO, cozinging up to dictators and giving them what they want, mass roundup of undocumented people and their deportation, inflation causing import taxes, and a few things to please/control the base, tax cut for billionaires. Heritage knows this. The agenda is way open to anything think tanks on the right can think up. And think up they did.
