had the scars and bruises to prove it. One time when we were trying to catch a mama cat and her babies, he got hold of two kittens, then fell down the stairs, but he never let go of those kittens. We got the whole family and he was badly bruised for a few weeks, but that cat family got sp/neutered and were adopted from the animal shelter. He was a fierce supporter of equality and justice and, though he died in 2004, I am sure he would have supported PBO, PJB, and VPKH!

We were given male Tuxedo litter mates born in my sister's closet not long after we met. They were fantastic friends and lived 20 & 22 years! Other lone male adult cats came to us over the years - all very special.

Now we are so fortunate to have met "The Whisker Sisters" nearly 5 years ago at our local shelter when they were just 7 weeks old. One is Calico and the other Tortie. We are a very happy family!

When we bought a house in Boulder, CO, it came with a cat. I was quite happy, and husband adjusted well. Fast forward a decade or so. Husband met another woman he decided he'd rather be with. Darn! Anyway, what I find hilarious is that she is something of a crazy cat lady, and had seven at the time they got together.

I think right now they have two or three.

We took in lots of strays when I was a kid, and at one time we had about 7 or 8, plus a couple that we fed outside. Loved 'em all.

Maine coon kitty

who is doing very well at not attacking the chickens. He still manages to make it clear he is destined to own the place.
