British Writer Pens The Best Description Of Trump I've Read

https://londondaily.com/british-writer-pens-the-best-description-of-trump-i-ve-read

“Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?” Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England wrote the following response:

A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.

Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.

Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness.

To go humorlessly through life is inhuman. It's bizarre. Normally, I'd pity such a damaged person, but Trump? Nah. He isn't even worthy of our pity. He's quite possibly the most despicable human ever to walk the earth. I mean, hell, even Hitler loved his dogs. Trump loves nothing and no one but himself.

Drumpf has NOTHING - he is a total vacuum, devoid of all redeemable human qualities and overflowing with all the detestable ones. He's so consumed with evil and hate that he cannot even smile.

Leave it to the Brits to nail it, spot on.

Set a good example to people whose English is painful to your ears?
The Scotch and the Irish leave you close to tears
There even are places where English completely disappears
In America, they haven't used it for years

Why can't the English teach their children how to speak
Norwegians learn Norwegian, the Greeks have taught their Greek
In France, every Frenchman knows his language from "A" to "Zed"
The French don't care what they do, actually, as long as they pronounce it properly

Arabians learn Arabian with the speed of summer lightning
And Hebrews learn it backwards, which is absolutely frightening
But use proper English, you're regarded as a freak

Oh, why can't the English
Why can't the English learn to speak?

I got a medley of them for piano, probably at the thrift store, what else?

Nice arrangements.

I think this entered my brain when Arthur Fiedler conducted the medleys at the Boston Pops concerts, in the third segment, the fun one.

Often.

It also accounts for my familiarity with the works of Leroy Anderson.

Fun times and tunes growing up. Musicals and masterpieces.

What's a 'cockwomble'? According to the Urban Dictionary, 'cockwomble' is derogatory British slang for a person, usually male, who is prone to making outrageously stupid statements and-or inappropriate behaviour while having a very high opinion of their own wisdom and importance.
