https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/minnesota-becoming-laboratory-progressive-policy-rcna79816

“When you’re looking at what’s possible with a trifecta, look at Minnesota,” said Daniel Squadron, the executive director of The States Project, a left-leaning group that works to build Democratic majorities in state legislatures.

“Fewer than 90 days into the new year they’ve done more things than a just a quote allows me to list to improve people’s lives,” he said.

Supporters also say Democrats' accomplishments in Minnesota could offer clues about how the party could effectively send messages about crucial issues heading into the 2024 cycle.

“This isn’t about jamming down Democratic priorities. These are proven things that improve people’s lives,” Democratic Gov. Tim Walz said in an interview, adding that his party's policy goals so far “are about not allowing our people to be demonized” because of “Republicans wanting to go to war on social issues.”

As would the others.

But what Tim Walz has going for him is his ability to communicate(the High School Teacher), lead(Command Sargent Major), as well as strategize(the Football Coach) his moves. Having spent 12 years as my Congressman in the 1st CD, he knows the workings of Congress. His ability to work with Republicans on mutual issues is another strong point he has.

Tim Walz, my dear friend, does not suffer fools. He has many colleagues in the House still, who knows him as we do here. Honorable, humble, knowledgeable, a straight shooter who knows B.S. when he sees it. I saw what he did to Gil Guteknecht at the Rochester Chamber of Commerce debate in 2006. He tore Gil a new one when it came to Gil's support for privatizing Social Security. By the end of that debate before hundreds who attended, Gil looked like a crumpled suit.

Either way, Tim will have a post in the Harris Administration.

He would be 68 if he served two terms as VP and decided to run for the Presidency. By then young people will be an even bigger constituency who will want someone who looks more like them. I think it important to plan for the future.

62 is not old. And I don't get all the concern I keep seeing about 2032.
Biden was 66 in 2008, was he a bad choice?

I’m looking ahead 8 years when the incumbent VP will have a good shot at the Presidency. If Kamala gets two terms that will mean a Democratic President has held the office for 12 years. We need to do everything we can to extend the streak.

And while I agree that 60 isn’t old, and that there is nothing wrong with old white men, there is currently a bias against them in some quarters. And you have to admit, Tim Walz is the perfect picture of an old white man.

I do like that Walz was a Command Sergeant Major. That’s pretty bad ass.

And David Hogg endorsed him on MSNBC last night and said he's the one who will really galvanize the youth vote.

I'm a new fan. He's so likable, relatable, funny, smart, humble, direct, etc., like your favorite teacher. And he taught high school for 20 years.

Harris could go with Whitmer, or Joaquin Castro too.

Americans are ready for a female president. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in 2016. We have an idiotic EC that stood in the way of the voters.

Be bold, and get people interested and excited. Two women on the ticket, wow. Whitmer is popular and accomplished too.
