Vicious wording, probably racist and misogynistic, in a tweet from Rasmussen Reports about Kamala Harris

PLEASE NOTE, since some people are apparently misreading my OP:

This ISN'T about the poll numbers Rasmussen cites.

It's about their using nasty, violent wording for Harris - saying Trump was "beating the snot out of" her - that a search showed they had NEVER used before on Twitter for any other candidate. See my comments directly below the tweet about the search I did.

Rasmussen Reports
@Rasmussen_Poll

Anyone who wonders whether to believe polls like ours, with Trump beating the snot out of Harris, or those with Harris slightly up... know this:

The betting odds haven't changed:

I did a search on Twitter for tweets from Rasmussen Reports, a search going back years, for any other tweets using the keywords beating or beat with snot or crap or shit, to find any variations of this sort of vicious wording.

No other examples of this.

Rasmussen Reports has been going downhill for years. But they really crossed a line here.

the typical RW bias of Rasmussen Reports.

This is a new tweet about Harris from their chief pollster's account:

Mark Mitchell, Rasmussen Reports
@Mark_R_Mitchell

Our boring Kamala Harris polling on YouTube is going viral right now.

Why?

Probably because one of the biggest gaslighting operations ever is happening right now

One of my later graduate degrees had me taking an upper-level survey design/statistical course--one for which I was really out of place, having had a prior advanced degree and years of experience in the field. But, I pretty much just shut up until the issue of pollsters in social surveys and politics came up. I unleashed my big mouth about the bias in Rasmussen polls (and at the time Pew was having a bad moment) and gave some methodological reasons why. Well, you'd have thought I'd just gone outside to shoot the professor's Mother. A spew of RW bias came out like you wouldn't believe. Of course, this was many years ago, so the shared comments at the time probably wouldn't raise an eyebrow today, but I was shocked at how he could defend such bullshit.

But yeah, a pollster or someone working for a polling group that posts crap like that is despicable and pretty damned shocking--even today.

The fallacy that many people agree with me is called the ad populum fallacy, also known as the bandwagon fallacy, appeal to numbers, or appeal to popularity. It occurs when someone claims something is true because many people believe it, even if they don't have an argument. People may use this fallacy to mask the fact that they don't have an argument

Please see my OP again, all of it. This isn't about their poll numbers, which I'd never trust anyway.

It's about their describing Trump doing better than a WOC in the polls as "beating the snot out of" her, when they've never said anything similar about any other candudate.

So, we can count them as part of the Trump campaign.

Their bias does relate to numbers, though, because a strongly biased poll is not a credible one.
