The last thing we need is some rando wearing a "White Dudes for Kamala" tee shirt standing behind and to the left of Kamala during a speech. That's the kind of thing that redirects discussion AWAY from Kamala and her agenda. For this reason, I'm not buying the sincerity of this "group."

this is a short fad for this week, it started with a Black Ladys for Ms Harris, then there was Black Men for, then White Women for her, now this, each one has broken Zoom records and decent fundraising totals. Just a breath of fresh air, after the last eight years. These are just a throwback to all the zoom parties we had during Covid lock downs.

I would rather be focusing on Kamala's qualifications and moral integrity, than on her racial make-up. It's the other side that's going to be pointing out that she doesn't look like a 'Real American'.

I suspect women and minorities that want to join would be welcome. The point is to demonstrate that a minority candidate has broad support among the people the narrative says are against her.

Unfortunately, my friend called me at the same time. They did talk about stuff that pertained to white people. The women hosting the event were quite influential. (Pink, a few actresses, authors etc, high level activists etc)

I've been working campaigns for awhile, so yeah it's stuff I pretty much already know. I think they were speaking about issues they may face while volunteering etc.

I think they had an event for Latina women on Monday or Tuesday night.

Black voters, white voters, Latino voters, straight voters, gay voters and so on. Totally unnecessary but it’s the way things are done.

her team likely got started by asking the sisters to donate. Then the brothers wanted to donate too. I think it just steamrolled from there. I felt bad I missed the white womens' meeting so I donated! Now the white dudes don't want to be left out, and I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing other "focus" groups donate, like Asian Americans for Kamala, etc. The cool thing it shows is that we may have differences, but we are all joining together behind this impressive candidate. It's not a divisive thing at all!

GOTV efforts are more successful when they target key demographics. It is data driven and it works. Plus, this is awesome! Just my 2 cents.

One of the tropes of Trumpsters is Democrats have some kind of disdain or dislike of white men. The MAGAts are the ones who don't get the "I" in DEI is for "inclusion", and that means all of us. There's a hell of a lot of white dudes who have issues with Trump and his White Supremacist army and don't want them in charge either. I hope the call is a raging success.

So, I guess that's where this comes in. He would probably prefer to be in room of Latino celebrities. He pretty much knows how to talk to all sorts of people and he doesn't give AF. But, I could see where someone is Latino and they're sent to a white neighborhood. I do have Latina friends who do have issues in white areas. It's a real thing.

We all need to step up for VP Harris and giver her the help she needs to win the election.

I just got an email, I guess they have over 12000 rsvp's now. I would imagine that setting up something like this is a bit more complicated than setting up a zoom room for 20, so they probably want to have a better idea of how big to scale things before setting things up, and may not have a link until things are set up.

...I got a similar email saying a link would come on Monday. They are now shooting for 50,000.

have supported Trump in the past (white women, sadly enough and older white men) it sends a signal that all are welcome but that specific outreach is underway on these initial calls to try to best involve those who may have hesitancy. Here's a story from my own life and this morning's early dog park group that I think might illustrate a bit better:
