poor jd vance. i almost feel sorry for him. ok not really. but he's gotta be puzzled....

he thought it would be so easy to play the magat game.

there's really only one trick. find a slice of americans to hate and rail on them. insult them, make their lives miserable, blame bad stuff on them, accuse them of rotten things, propose laws to take away their rights or make to make them less safe, etc.

really the only rule is make sure they're a minority in some way. so much easier to hate on a smallish portion of america than a bigger one. the only exception is women, technically a slight majority but misogyny runs so deep.

the thing is, you have to get your audience to identify with you as the attacker/oppressor, not as the victim. so when you pile on more and more slices of americans to attack, eventually each audience member is going to align with one target or another. that's might be ok, though, if think the oppression doesn't apply to them.

that's the way it is with women. they've taken away abortion rights, which certainly should piss off even republican women. but they're probably fine sticking with donnie and vance if they figure the abortion thing doesn't apply to them.

if they're not interested in kids, or done with kids and past that age, for instance.

so,

for instance,

... childless cat ladies....

oops! poor vance. he should have stuck with the tried and true hate targets, but really they can work their hatred on any group, just... just don't pick a group that includes a bunch of people on their side!

really, it's so easy to be a republican. it's not like you have to know any facts or anything. just don't tell people you shoot puppies or what you do when alone with a couch.

and when you hate on "others", just make sure they're actually others....

how are they so bad at this? i can't act, but i could improv better than that!

use as fodder for his political aims--while doing absolutely NOTHING to help them. Hell, he doesn't even believe in the Government trying to help them (there was a piece from the current mayor of his small town that really made it clear how desperate they were TWICE in the past couple of years for FEMA help and how dependant they were on Infrastructure $$ and Medicaid funds, given few have bootstraps to even pick themselves up with--and all which he believes are "wrong"...

He's an opportunist and nothing better. He's exploiting his highly educated (formerly Democratic-registered) wife and kids too--just to make a political point.

No sympathy for him. Only contempt.

Then again what's the skill set involved? They don't believe in governance, they don't believe in facts.

He convinced Donnie he was all-in on maga and that's all it took I guess.

lol

Donnie picks the best people.

The best
