My prediction about jd vance

trump will fire him. (he LOVES firing people). trump will then choose someone a little more moderate and less nuts. The mainstream media will spend a week oohing and ahhhing over the amazing choice trump made.

The problem for them is people aren't paying as much attention to msm these days.

That he made a mistake, which he can never admit to. If anything, they'll convince him to step down to try and give themselves a Biden moment, but theirs won't be because they thought it was for the good of the country even if they try to spin it that way.
