A lot of discussion, back and forth about polls and the Veep slot. Nothing about Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz lately, but...

......I wouldn't bet against him. The guy is wicked smart, folksy, speaks extremely well and does the "likable attack dog" thing that I think we need. Like Pete, he'd tie a knot into Vance and make him cry.

He just looks older than he is (looked it up and he's 60). If the younger voters like him, cool.

David Hogg, a prominent gun control activist who survived a 2017 school shooting in Parkland, Fla., on Thursday shared video of Walz on MSNBC where the governor summed up the Democratic strategy in eight words: "These are weird people on the other side."

"He's been an extremely productive governor, he's a total midwestern dad, he's hilarious and genuine," Hogg wrote.

He can be a huge whiner on Twitter. Meh. Will wait for to see what the Swifties say (just kidding).

Thanks for the info

Edit: I do like Tim Walz a lot though

With the quality of our Candidates I don't know how we ever loose to rethugs.

Rethug cuts in education funding and subsequent lack
of education I suspect keeps too many people/voters uncurious, low-info morons.

https://abcnews.go.com/Business/potential-vp-pick-tim-walz-emerges-popular-candidate/story?id=112262945]

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a potential vice presidential contender, has emerged among labor unions as a popular pick to join Kamala Harris on the Democratic ticket, four union officials and a political consultant told ABC News.

Walz, a former public school teacher and union member, has drawn support for his record of pro-labor legislation in a blue-leaning state and his potential appeal with voters in nearby Midwest battlegrounds Wisconsin and Michigan, they said.

I think he’s a great pick, great communicator with a progressive record and down to earth manner that is very relatable.

In my opinion, any poll right now is based on name recognition and nothing more. Many like Walz and Beshear who are great possibilities are not well known. If picked, they would be very successful.
