Got a call for an election survey - need to vent

I live in Wisconsin, a swingiest of swing states. Got a call from Dynata on our landline (my hubby is a dinosaur) to take a survey about the election. I said, sure. Seemed to be pretty pro-Kamala but maybe that was just the way I was answering the questions. She would mention different Democratic positions, then ask, given that, who would I be voting for. I kept answering "Kamala Harris". Then she went into long descriptions of different issues and positions Kamala has taken, and would it make me more likely, somewhat likely, less likely or much less likely to vote for Kamala. I stopped her twice and asked if we were almost done, as I had to leave, and each time she assured me we were almost done. Then she went into even more questions. Finally, I just got too irritated and told her I couldn't finish, and they were asking too many questions.

I want to participate in polling, but my goodness, I don't want to be on a call that long and answer the same questions over and over asked different ways. They would get better responses if they just asked a few questions and finished in a minute or so.

Thanks for listening

2. I used to do phone banks but we'd just ask if they were registered to vote, could we answer

Any questions about the issues..stuff like that. As informal as it was, as soon as I said I was calling for the get out to vote, their attitude changed n I got used to dial tone for an answer. It’s hard doing phone banks..people don’t want to be bothered but there’s a reason for them. Times have changed so last time I volunteered, I walked in my district n left handbills on front doors. Some were not nice about that but it comes with the territory.

I screen calls and they didn’t start to leave a message. So I didn’t pick up. Didn’t know who they were. I have little patience for any more than 3 or 4 questions, anyway.

5. Sounds like either a push poll or a campaign/party fishing for info

First off, it seems unlikely to be a legitimate poll of the type that gets results published in newspapers or on the internet. Legitimate polls don't ask questions like, "If you knew..., would you..."

It could be a push poll, but it doesn't really sound like they were trying to convince you of anything.

It sounds to me more likely to have been a campaign/party/etc "poll" looking for info about voter attitudes, to use either for or against Harris.
