He is sharp and he was a combat veteran. But there must be some reasons he isn't on the VP list. I'm guessing he wants to spend time raising his kid where they live for now. So maybe Cooper might be OK for one term, if Kamala Harris picks him.

He is a smart guy and I actually think he is better suited in one of those roles.
