"SNIP........

My daughter in Texas was denied medical treatment for an ectopic pregnancy until she had a “belly full of blood” to prove she would die. Those were her doctor’s words. She was sent across town for a scan that proved she was bleeding to death then we rushed her back to the hospital for life saving treatment. It was never a viable pregnancy. 🤬IUnderstandTheAssignment

It is just soul crushing. They are destroying women's bodies for their sick agenda.

Fuck Republicans.

in states like Texas, the mortality rate for women and infants has Increased.

Meanwhile criminal maga officeholders like Paxton are busy suing the Biden administration to limit access even to contraceptives.

These bastards don't want women to control even over what happens to their own bodies.

Sick mfkrs.

same thing except she was able to have medical abortion in CA. She had no idea she was pregnant just got very sick high fever and pain then fainted. Rushed to hospital, lost a lot of blood. That was 12 years ago.

I wonder if it happened now in a red state if she would be alive.

and make them aware of how your daughter was denied life saving treatment. It's vital that these stories get told. My big fear is that someone is going to die because of these women hating maga extremists.

I hope they'll contact the Harris campaign. That's a really important story that can help to expose that the anti-women maga extremists are NOT pro-life. I had a friend who had an ectopic pregnancy. Fortunately, Roe vs Wade was in effect.

if your first one dies in childbirth or pregnancy. That is reality going back 100 years or more to where dying in childbirth was a leading kind of death for women. Already the obgyns are leaving the rural south.

She was afraid her extremely "conservative" parents and doctors would discover she was having sex with her boyfriend.

At the only high school reunion I will ever attend she and her boyfriend were both on the "Friends We Have Lost" memorial.

Yeah, like fucking Romeo and Juliet or Darcy Farrow and Vandermeer.

But her pony did stumble, and she did fall
Her dying touched the hearts of us, one and all
Young Vandy, in his pain, put a bullet through his brain
We buried them together as the snows began to fall

Shitty secrets my mom shared with me...

My mom had her own shitty secrets and ample reason to despise religious "conservatives."

Many religious beliefs should not be tolerated.

Too many people worship gods who are assholes.

stupid medical care through these laws. I'd like to see how they would feel if they were told they must give blood or bone marrow. Then maybe a kidney.

About every 28 days, a woman's ovaries release an egg that travels down the Fallopian tube into the uterus where, if she has sexual contact with a man, the egg is fertilized . . . and you know the rest.

HOWEVER -- in some cases, the egg is fertilized while it is still in the Fallopian tube. The Fallopian tube is tiny -- about the size of a #2 pencil lead. The fertilized egg starts growing from 1 cell to 2 to 4 to 8 . . . and soon it has grown so that is much too big for the Fallopian tube and the egg ruptures. The result is extreme pain, vaginal bleeding, and if it's not "cleaned up" quickly sepsis can develop and spread and the woman may die from sepsis.

I'm an EMT with a volunteer rescue squad in a rural VA county. In 14 years I have been dispatched to one emergency that turned out to be ectopic pregnancy. I don't ever want to witness another one. Pain so severe I had to administer morphine -- a dose so large I had to call the ER doc for permission to use that much morphine. Bleeding -- on the floor next to her was a trash can containing three sanitary pads, each filled with blood. Followed by calling a helicopter -- 20 minute wait -- to transport her to a medical center.

And the goddam white men in the Texas legislature and every other Republican-controlled legislature do not give a damn.
