Except that he was an hour late arriving to the venue near our state capital (where they hold the annual "PA Farm Show" ), people were passing out due to heat exhaustion while waiting, he apparently rambled on for 90 minutes, bringing up the Hannibal Lecter nonsense, and his "attendees" left early.

for his NABJ Interview which was due to a technical issue. And you know he got wait inside in a nice room. And I would bet he was provided with drinks or whatever he wanted while he waited.

so it just underscored the "whiney baby" persona that turns off indies.

I am weary of “we’re not ready”. I can’t imagine how weary folks in marginalized communities feel waiting for the rest of the country to “be ready” for them to rise to their potential.

I don’t think our VP selection should exclude someone because bigots “aren’t ready”.

And 86% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents were open to voting for a gay presidential candidate, but only 36% thought the country as a whole would be ready.

So your thinking is in line with the majority of Americans--even the majority of Democrats--but it turns out that we're better than that!

at University of Chicago or Northwestern and then run for the US Senate there and then run for the presidency. There's a track record for that.

He'll do the speaking, regardless, but he could be even more effective as the VP choice. Yeah, I've not made a personal pick, feeling comfortable with leaving that to Harris, but I don't mind saying Buttigieg is up there among the top two I'd be favoring.
