Harris and Walz will sit for a CNN interview on Thursday

Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will sit with CNN for their first joint interview on Thursday as Democrats work to broaden their base’s excitement from last week’s Democratic National Convention.

The interview, conducted by CNN’s chief political correspondent and anchor Dana Bash, will air at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday. It occurs as the candidates embark on a bus tour through the battleground state of Georgia...

poor performance at the Biden/Trump debate. I will not watch CNN so I will wait for people to post about it on here.

4. At least it isn't Tapper. I fully expect a Bash interview will be handled fine by Harris/Walz.

9. If she selected someone from MSNBC the rest of the media would attack her for it

It would be like Trump agreeing to interview only on Fox. CNN is perceived as more middle of the road. It doesn't matter - she can handle it.

10. Many seem to be coming at this election from a place of emotion rather than logic.

Doing so is a sure-fire way to lose a campaign. Want to know what happens when you let emotion drive your campaign strategy? Look no further than the Republican side and you'll see it. There's no fundamental logic to what they do - just pure emotion and it's upending what was, for a time, a front-runner candidate.

I get many are frustrated with he media. I am too. But there's a reason Harris is doing an interview and it's on CNN: because her campaign knows the narrative of her ducking questions from the media will snowball into something more and start to dominate the discourse, therefore giving Trump an opening.

You're right that doing an interview with MSNBC would only lead to more criticism.

The Harris campaign knows what they're doing - way more than a bunch of randos on a forum (and I am not trying to be rude ... but they do know what they're doing).

Harris and Walz aren’t going to get steamrolled by Dana Bash.

6. Smart move, doing it before debate. They'll do great, and keep trump from yelling about interviews.
