I've taken very long breaks this year. I've been a missing person for long stretches.

I pop in to release my Kamala excitement - but will do similar to you between now and election day. I've got a garden to plan, a hammock to inhabit with my wife, trails to hike and lakes to kayak!

I understand why you want to take a break and you certainly have to put your own needs first. But I do hope you come back. You have been one of the very best posters on here. Only tonight I have been pondering how to deal with contemptuous, disrespectful, and cruel bullies without returning the same toward them only to result in continuing the cycle. Egged on by the amoral media.

I have concluded that the course you are taking is one of the good solutions. Do something different that’s happy and positive. Deprive these ever escalating bullies and their enablers the attention and control they crave.

Seriously, it’s the equivalent of a kid saying, “You’re mean and weird. This is no fun. I’m going to go do something else.” It drives them crazy while you grow.
