(7,447 posts)The customers are the ones that have to pay that through increased rates unfortunately. At least were only at about $0.14 with my rural Co-op in FL.

(7,447 posts)To install solar panels. I wish theyd make them have to replant trees or set aside an equal number of acres for conservation. An electric utility here just leveled 900 more acres of oak and pine tree forest about 5 miles from my house to put in more solar, theyve done almost 10,000 acres of solar nearby in recent years. I like solar, have some myself, but Id rather see it funded more for houses and businesses versus cutting down huge blocks of forest and animal habitat.
