The President's economic agenda has included historic levels of funding specifically for Tribal communities and Native people, including $32 billion in the American Rescue Plan (ARP), $13 billion in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), and $700 million in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

more: (like the programs highlighted today, these are legislative advancements made early in his term and still coming online across the country)

The customers are the ones that have to pay that through increased rates unfortunately. At least we’re only at about $0.14 with my rural Co-op in FL.

To install solar panels. I wish they’d make them have to replant trees or set aside an equal number of acres for conservation. An electric utility here just leveled 900 more acres of oak and pine tree forest about 5 miles from my house to put in more solar, they’ve done almost 10,000 acres of solar nearby in recent years. I like solar, have some myself, but I’d rather see it funded more for houses and businesses versus cutting down huge blocks of forest and animal habitat.
