Mueller, She Wrote and Angry Staffer both believe Merchan is likely leaning towards sending him to jail.

Mueller, She Wrote
Exactly. The Judge says that if Trump's motion to dismiss is denied, justice demands a sentencing that is free from distraction or distortion - the kind that comes along with an election. It sounds like Merchan will eventually deny Trump's motion and sentence him.

Angry Staffer 🌻
I’m speculating here, but reading the tea leaves, this suggests to me that Merchan is likely leaning towards sending him to jail.

If you want to make sure that happens, elect Harris in November.

Reuters: JUDGE DELAYS DONALD TRUMP'S SENTENCING IN HUSH MONEY CASE UNTIL NOV. 26

Win or lose, he's being sentenced before Inauguration Day - and could be sent to jail!

I know, I know, it is a letdown for most of us right now, but it is the wiser, can I say, more judicious approach. Besides, we can take some level of glee knowing the stress of having sentencing hanging over his head for a bit longer is real. The man is obviously stressing out in the extreme. Let's be OK with letting that torture continue for a few extra weeks, then it's likely 'adios asshole!'

there won’t be any reason to stay the sentencing until the appeal is done and TSF is stupid enough to have his celebration for the J6 felons, allowing Merchan to tack on more time due to convicted felon violations.

**So, Merchants denies to stay.
**Appeals court denies to stay
**SCOTUS doesn’t hear case (I don’t put anything past the corrupt conservatives but …)

Sentenced November 26- report to the prison in January 27 2025.

Once again, Donald gets away with a big crime, just as the wealthy always do in this country.

They wouldn’t postpone sentencing for someone because they are getting married, or having a baby, or any other big life event.

This is the judge preparing to make a sentence based on the outcome of a federal election — if Trump wins, he’s getting a slap on the wrist.

If Judge Merchan is delaying a sentence of incarceration until after the election, I can only
conclude he's another judge who is living in a fantasy land where he's protected from anything
that goes on in the real world by magic spells like the law.

If Trump is re-installed, it's MERCHAN that is going to jail, NY judge never mind that.

After this ruling today I am convinced that Donald Trump is above the law. It pisses me off, but there is nothing I can do about it so I'll just accept it and move on.

would be a travesty of justice. Michael Cohen went to prison for the same exact crime.

I do not envy this judge and admire his restraint and fidelity to the law during these trying times.
