It has reached the point where I am just skipping past them all till I see one where Trump turns into a giant lizard and eats three people before blowing up on stage. Odds are I will give it a pass as well since it will be twenty minutes long and never get to the point mentioned in the the title.
Yes, I know, Trump says stupid, evil, wrong, should be the end of his way past five minutes of fame, things all the time. But I remember Bush doing things that you expected to be his "Do you have no shame" moment, only to find out that Republicans these days don't care about shame.
Media people, start working on your plan cause things are going to change soon. Either good loses and your all going to be shipped off off and put in cages before you get lost or good has a victory and your hyperbole is going to loose one of it's favorite targets.
Yes, I know, Trumps ugly face will still be around since the trials will continue and even if he has an open casket, there are going to be rumors about him escaping and hiding in a sundown town somewhere in Texas. And yes I know that there will always be a Jim Jordan, Boebert or MTG saying something stupid to quote, but the existing threat of democracy failing will have lost a bit of it's fire after Trump is behind bars, or under the sod.
But the strong gravy train will have departed. It is possible that you can be a source for good. Here is hoping you don't become questionable after looking like you had such great depth of thought. (Yes I am talking about TYT and the male partner of Citizen's Radio)

(10,754 posts)Imagine you are posting videos and tracking views, you quickly find that the ones with bland descriptive titles don't get as many views as ones with all-caps hyperbole. Even if they are all about the same thing, and the hyperbole is only marginally justified by the content. I follow some bike racing coverage myself, and even there a basic race coverage story is likely to have a rage-bait title, just because that gets views. People who were going to watch anyway will still watch, but more other people will check it to see what's the big controversy (or whatever). Youtube promotes stuff that is trending, and that's what trends. It annoys the heck out of me, but it's hard to know who to blame.
Of course everything the OP writes is correct. I deliberately don't watch anything political on youtube myself, as I don't want to get into that category there.

(2,396 posts)YouTube has an issue this way. I fully expect to see the title, "An Organist started playing and then this happened! (Watch to the End!)"
The video will then show a choir in robes come in while singing and the crowd in the church stand, open hymnals and start singing. It of course ends with the choir standing and then sitting in their pews at the end of the song. Entirely unexpected ending to a start when an organist started playing. In a church. Like where you find organs. On Sunday morning. Cause that's when organists play organs. And you watched to the end and nothing happened.
