Kamala has to deliver a knockout punch at the debate

It is the only way to stop Nate Silver and the media from painting the picture that Trump is ahead and likely to win. I’m beginning to feel that dread that I felt before Kamala entered the race. I knew the honeymoon period would not last forever but so sick of this feeling. I hope she nails him and makes him look like the fool he is. Nothing will persuade MAGA but maybe moderate republicans and independents will cross over.

This election is going to be won on whether Republican-leaning swing voters who hate Trump and were planning to sit this one out can bring themselves to vote for a Democrat.

All she has to do is not be a psychopath who is going to burn down the economy and wipe her backside with the Constitution.

For their ratings. That’s all this is and it doesn’t matter which source it is..ABC, NBC, Fox..all of em are corporate owned n the end game is money. Our founding fathers considered a free press so important, it was addressed in our first amendment. They are not living up to the standards of this importance.

the media will run with "She's too...fill in whatever adjective they choose to make it look like she was mean to poor little Donny" or they will nitpick every word..."well, she said and and it should have been or....blah, blah, blah.

Plus, how do you even begin when every fucking word out of his mouth is a lie.

I am really tired of the constantly moving goalposts for Democrats and NO expectations for Republicans.

He could walk on stage, take a massive dump right there and it would be praised by the media as the most presidential pile of crap ever shat. Or they'd praise his boldness in showing his opinion so viscerally.

I'm so tired of the whole "well this debate is the WHOLE election!" thing.

Trump gets graded on a curve. I have never seen him actually win a debate on any policy points. He just insults and lies and gets credit for it. Our side needs to moderate our expectations for this debate and define what a win for Kamala actually looks like. If our side does what we did with Joe and building up the expectations that Trump won’t be effective with lies, it will be on us. The media won’t help and they won’t fact check.

I hope Trump is unable to rattle her. I don’t he’ll succeed but that will be his strategy. I think when Kamala doesn’t fall for any of his childish games. The more she doesn’t react the more obnoxious he will get. But I don’t think it would hurt to have a couple good zingers ready to go just in case.

The bigger we win this, the better.

A bigger win helps improve the odds of keeping the Senate and regaining the House.

A big enough win could start the final long-needed death of, or at least major reboot of, the Republican party.

A mere squeaker of a win means we'll likely be facing the same goddamned threat again (maybe not from Trump himself, but from the same authoritarian cult he's built) four years from now.
