TexasTribune
A jury will decide if a group of Trump supporters violated state and federal law when they allegedly harassed a Biden campaign bus on a Texas highway in 2020, frightening those on board.
Its been four years since a campaign bus carrying Wendy Davis and others was nearly run off the road by a so-called Trump Train a caravan of Republican activists waving giant flags showing support for Donald Trump.
Drivers of more than a dozen cars and trucks, honking and shouting, followed the bus on Interstate 35 between San Antonio and San Marcos, weaving in and out of traffic and causing a minor collision between a Biden campaign staffer following the bus and a Trump supporter.
Ultimately, the bus driver made an abrupt and speedy exit off the highway to lose the crowd.

(3,536 posts)If a convoy of MAGA rioters tries to threaten you, harass you, intimidate you, and run your vehicle off a highway --- well, rest assured that in only 4 short years, godwilling, you might eventually get to have your case heard. Maybe. If you're lucky. And if you have the money to float the legal costs.
God bless our definitely-not-broken-we-swear judicial system!

I think what our language challenged friend is trying to say is this. American and British empirical derogation by race and religion was a traditional sentiment (point of pride, actually) long before it became fashionable on the continent. (Good thing the Germans, in 1945, got caught holding the bag on that one, eh?) Bit of a bad show how, even 80 years later, some haven't read the memo.

This is one of the reasons I despise the entire British aristocracy, Lady Di included. She died in the company of a Saudi oil prince who couldn't drive, ffs. We fought a bloody revolution to imitate eliminate them.

Apparently they did not like it and the next generation cannot conceive of the idea of living under Fascism or communist dictatorship.. I suspect America is witnessing their own generational cure.

(3,761 posts)What's as disturbing as what they did is that Trump fans found it hilarious.
They think that they are the "silent majority" when they are neither silent or the majority.
They really don't understand how much we despise Trump.
And they still don't get that every time they do this stuff we HATE TRUMP EVEN MORE.
Of course, they were absolutely convinced that they were going to win that election. They were so smug.

(69,643 posts)...the term "Trump Derangement" as if we're the crazy ones.
I can think of nothing more deranged than displaying rabid support for a traitor, convicted felon, serial liar who failed at business after business despite being born to great wealth.
In '16, maybe I can understand the desire for "something else." But, after 8 years of crazy, a dismal failure as an administration, and all the proven revelations after 8 years, continued support of him meets the definition of deranged.
