I keep getting emails telling me the sky is falling, our candidates are getting outspent, and James Carville telling me that it is all my fault!

Seems like he'll support any cause that lets him skim off the top. Numerous fundraising emails and ignoring unsubscribe messages is a red flag.

This is a ruby red county so I'm both puzzled and delighted she is spending campaign time here.

On a side note, the street corner inhabited by MAGAts for years had a sign waving for Harris/Walz yesterday evening. Packed corner and motorists were displaying enthusiastic support as they drove by. I was startled and delighted to see it. Almost burst into tears.

Florida is definitely in play!

7. It about losing "ruby red" counties by less.

If you take a 70-30 Trump county and lose 65-35 instead that can swing an election.

but always figured it was always good to make them work as hard as possible and spend more than they planned to to keep their counties.

14. Yes, I get that, but the FDP hasn't given us attention in eons. It was another reason.

I'm glad I went. I learned a few things that have changed since I was active 6 years ago. (Had to pull back to sort out some health issues).

1. Our county has steadily gained traction in the last few election cycles and now holds elected offices disproportionate to Democratic electorate. Low level, but that's how you gain ground. We're proving we can do it without their help, so now they are willing to help.

2. This is where Moms for Liberty got started. They want to prove a point that a hotbed of extremism can be saved.

The event was fantastic. So well attended they had the speakers repeat their speeches in another room at a parallel rally. Standing room only in both places.

While about 70% of the vote Trump got here came from urban counties, he still needs to win the rural counties by large margins in order to win the state.

Reducing those percentage from the high 60s and low 70s a few percentage points could make the difference in us winning Michigan

18. I believe Harris can gain about 5 points in this county if we work it right.

2000 Gore 44%
2004 Kerry 41.5%
2008 Obama 44%
2012 Obama 43%
2016 Clinton 37.5%
2020 Biden 41%

We're aiming for 48%, I think it will be around 46%. I think it is possible based on what I am seeing around here. Extremism fatigue is rampant given what our county commission and school board has been up to over the past 10 years. The relative absence of Trump campaign artifacts is startling.

Fighting chance to flip a school board and county commission seat. Pretty sure Debbie MP has a good shot at it.

'll be gobsmacked if my district picks up anything in the Florida legislature or the US House though.

At our community center. I’ll be there! The town is pretty red but I know there has been a loud buzz in the teaching community against fascism. Thanks Guv!

I live in Edgewater and although it's not Oak Hill or Mims (klanville of the east coast) it's the absence of tsf paraphernalia that's so telling. In 2016 it seemed every other truck had a "F*ck Your Fellings" flag flapping next to the stars and bars. In 2020 there were some, but now you don't even see many bumper stickers. Not that they've been replaced by Harris signs, but still...

Driving home Friday evening, I approached a street corner that had been the home of regular Trump sign waving events for years. Even when no election was going on.

As I approached, I saw a group out there for the first time in a while. I groaned thinking "aw shit, they're back and they've doubled their numbers. WTF?" Got closer and almost burst into tears seeing it was a Harris Walz sign waving party instead. If I didn't have perishable groceries with me, I'd have pulled in and joined them!

Yesterday, I want to a Democratic rally. The Trump folks tried to organize a counter protest at the entrance to the park. Maybe six people who gave up after half an hour and one guy who sat in a weird van with an LED display on the outside saying something about socialism. He was still there when we left. I wonder how many middle fingers he encountered yesterday. Besides mine. Yes, I can be that juvenile sometimes.
