"SNIP.............

New York Magazine: “Part of Harris world’s thinking is that voters already know about Trump’s character and have set views of him that aren’t worth reinforcing in the tight but highly valuable speaking windows Harris will have on the campaign stage. (It’s not like she has new information to add that might change those views.)”

“And since the debate rules about muted microphones mean she is unlikely to have many clear back-and-forths with him, many close to her team figure she should not try too hard to create moments like her viral ones questioning Jeff Sessions and Brett Kavanaugh as a senator.”

to the world how tsf is the worst guy ever. Instead she is waving the back of her hand at his creepy weirdness and getting her own message out.

And miraculously, for the first time in almost a decade he isn't dominating every news cycle. SHE is getting just as much air play.

It feels like we are finally breathing again.

He doesn’t act or debate like a normal person.

Best that Kamala’s team figure out a way to make the most out of the format on their own terms rather than focusing too much on Trump. And also be prepared to throw a punch.

I understand the point completely but;
I think a "back of the hand" acknowledgement of his crazy is necessary.
Something dismissive on the order of Reagan's "there you go again" should be a preamble to her actual answer. Stay with the ridicule approach. We know "weird" has gotten under his skin. Keep twisting the needle.
Don't fact check, don't correct. Just acknowledge the ridiculousness and then move oni don't think completely ignoring the crazy is wise.

Say that after he talks, then continue with her position. A dismissive auntie showing nothing he says is worth responding to.

Simply stating her platform and successes in a clear spoken , eloquent way -in contrast to his crazy gibberish, is going to do a lot to open people’s eyes to what the choice actually is.

It is the reason he has been terrified to do a debate. This will basically be a battle of stump speeches and hers is Gold to the deteriorating garbage he has to offer.
