from England, etc., were Puritans and other religious people. Many of them were criminals Britain wanted to be rid of. Some of them were serf-laborers. I think they did the same thing with populating Australia. So, we weren't getting the "best and brightest" in the founding days of our country. American Indians could probably agree with this. Bloodlines and character traits tend to run in families, so I'm not surprised we have quite a few sociopaths, psychopaths and other criminal elements in the U.S. Also, even the religious people were rebels demanding their own way (and they're still demanding it). Who we are, down deep, IMNSHO, strikes back all the way to the Mayflower and other boats that came from overseas. The fact it's been pushed...especially thru politics, these last couple of decades and a half just goads it to get worse until here we are today. That's just personal opinion. I have nothing more than a college degree in Psychology and years of experience tracing stuff back through my own family. But I truly believe the bad genes have been carried through the decades.

Prediction, back in 2018, was that at least 1/3 of Congress. At this point, I'm going to say 98% of the repug caucus plus a few thousand plants throughout the federal government, not just in DC.
