Trump calls for modifying 25th Amendment to make it possible to remove a vice president

'Former President Donald Trump on Saturday called for “modifying” the 25th Amendment to allow for the removal of a vice president who “lies or engages in a conspiracy to cover up the incapacity of the president,” a political nonstarter and the latest escalation of his attacks on President Joe Biden and the change atop the Democratic ticket.

“If you do that with a cover-up of the president of the United States, it’s grounds for impeachment immediately and removal from office, beause that’s what they did,” Trump said during a campaign rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin.'

The VP can be impeached for whatever “high crime and misdemeanor” the House sees fit. Good luck getting 2/3 of the Senate to agree.

So he wants Congress or his cabinet to be able to impeach a VP? Is he scared of JD or something?

thought it up all by himself - he's looking for a way to disqualify Harris because she's stealing all the attention from him.

The US Constitution specifies that the vice-president can be impeached by a majority vote of the House and removed by a 2/3 vote of the Senate - and that's not going to happen before November 5.
