In the earliest hours of the morning, Wednesday November 9, 2016, I listened to the radio as I drove back from an election party held for Democratic Party volunteers. I shook when results came in, as the deep, belligerent voices of Trump supporters chanted “Call it! Call it! Call it!”
Throughout the night, I cried. I curled up in my bed, wondering who was outside the walls of my apartment.
How many of my neighbors voted for a man who boasted about assaulting women, and encouraged violence and hate against vulnerable populations?
How many juiced up frat boys were roaming around campus celebrating their ideological win?

I'm not sure it's especially helpful to re-live that day in 2016. It was a dark day...
