General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsShould Democrats double-down on the attempted coup of January 6th?
Or should they put it on the back burner and forget about in this election?
I was watching a "YouTube" where one young man, a Harris supporter, was challenging 20 Trump supporters in a timed discussion. They sat across a table from each other as they debated.
It was the epitome of low-information voters. No matter what facts the "liberal" gave them, they believed none of it. Trump could do no wrong.
Then, when the young Harris supporter brought up January 6th and the attempted coup, it was almost in unison as the young Trump supporters rolled their eyes and shrugged it off. On this issue, they were all in deep denial.
It bothers me to no end that they are permitted to shrug it off as a trivial matter.

(112,948 posts)That these folks that attacked our Capitol are not patriots - they are domestic terrorists.
They pretend it is a trivial matter because they are guilty.
They deserve to be in jail.
They are anti-American.
They are following a cult leader. If he told them to drink the kool aid, they would not hesitate.
Trump tells them they are patriots and promises to pardon them because he knows he is guilty as sin and what he did is not simple "election interference", it is sedition or treason, take your choice. It was an act of war against our country and our Constitution.
No amount of excuses will change those facts.

(84 posts)It would involve 100's of people. And literally NOBODY has come forward to say for example that they were approached to do something shady and declined, or say they witnessed provably wrong stuff that happened?. As the mastermind like how the hell could you possibly know to trust all but a handful of the people involved? These are state-run elections for the love of Pete, POTUS/VPOTUS don't know the people running them! To pull this off you'd have to approach so many more people than would say yes and there'd be witnesses galore. Freaking OBVIOUSLY, am I wrong?
