He just has a low-key observational style of humor and deadpan delivery that I like.

Some people like edgy and topical in their standup, a la George Carlin.

I don’t—I like stand up comedy as an escape from the hassles of the outside world, so guys like Nate hit the right note.

If I want topical in my comedy, I want it in a specific form where I know what I’m getting, like John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight.

Pure standup, however, I just like to be down to earth and ordinary.

Thought that they did a good job. The VP debate cd open was hysterical. Dana Carvey was good, and I knew he was going to nail her with the ice cream at some point. Even the more random things, like the golf tournament had a few chuckles.

I’ve watched his comedy specials over and over and he always make me cry with laughter. I thought he was hysterical last night, both hosting and in the George Washington skit.
