Major hurricane forecast to slam Florida midweek, will hit the same communities damaged by Helene

Tropical Storm Milton tracker: Major hurricane forecast to slam Florida

Tropical Storm Milton formed in the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday as forecasters expect the storm to quickly strengthen into a major hurricane over the next few days.

Milton is expected to rapidly intensify over the next 36 hours and could be a major Category 3 hurricane when it reaches the west coast of the Florida peninsula mid-week, bringing the risk of life-threatening impacts to portions of the state's west coast, the National Hurricane Center said. Areas at the greatest risk are communities still reeling from last month’s Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Ian in 2022.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency for the following counties: Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, DeSoto, Flagler, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter and Volusia.

The irony is that some of those in congress who voted no are from states hard hit by disasters, and the people in those states seem to keep electing these jackasses.

Talk about people voting against their own self-interest.

This is what Floridians think

Please help me make this make sense.
The government approved billions to go to Ukraine and In the same week Kamala Harris approved $750.00 relief money for our own American citizens that have lost EVERYTHING from the devastating storms in Florida, Georgia ,North Carolina, and Tennessee……. The same relief money from FEMA that they used for the illegal immigrants. The same FEMA money that they are running out of because of the illegal immigrants…… I’m Sorry! How do we give illegal immigrants EBT cards, cash, phones, medical assistants and places to shelter and live. How in the hell is this Ok? We can’t even take care of our own people in the USA that need a tremendous amount of help right now. What are we doing? Do they really think $750 is going to help everyone that has lost so much. Are they going to get food, shelter and housing?
Way to go, Biden and Harris. I hope you both sleep well because a lot of others aren’t. This doesn’t feel like
The United States of America I remember.
God be with us.💔🙏

I read this and said what the Hell!!!!

and gave it to Immigration and that was DonOLD Trump to help build his border wall.

If Republicans feel like hurricane victims need more socialist dollars, they should contact their Republican Congressman and tell them to pass it. Sometimes we need to remind our right-wing neighbors that Congress controls the purse strings.

I doubt that even one of the operatives of the troll farm which produced the propaganda cited in that FB post has ever set foot in the state of Florida.
