Small town politics. The County Recorder race in Ohio has taken a turn
In Trumbull County Ohio there is a republican candidate attempting to unseat the incumbent democrat for County Recorder, but recent investigations have been embarrassing to the Trump loyal candidate.
Dawn Zinni has signs everywhere around here with a photo of the Trump "Fight" image prominently displayed in the lower left corner. Worse, she's an attractive blond that could sway the knuckle dragging Trumpie men. It doesn't look good even for such a menial position.
However, this ran in today's newspaper. It seems she owes $100k for suits resulting from her failed trucking company. That's no big deal, but there are hundreds of thousands more pending decision for truck payments and credit cards she defaulted on. It turns out she's been sued 10 times since 2011 and she claims that's the reason she needs the recorder job. Clearly there's an issue of financial trust involved here.
She of course blames "Bidenomics" for her woes and cited truck payments that were too high. When questioned she then started citing scripture from Proverbs: "The rich rules over the poor. And the borrower is servant to the lender'. Asked about what she meant when she said will bring my Christian values to the recorders office, she waffled on helping all religions but being moral or something.
She recently married a Judge in the next county, and for him to keep that bench he has to reside in Mahoning County, Zinni has to reside in Trumbull if she wins. It should be obvious she will only pretend to live here after the election.
I wish I could post the entire article here because there is just so much more

Dawn Zinni, the Republican candidate for Trumbull County recorder, owes more than $100,000 in a court judgment against her and faces five other lawsuits, seeking more than $325,000, from her and her failed trucking business.
Zinni, of Cortland, a first-time candidate, is trying to unseat incumbent Recorder Tod Latell, a Girard Democrat who is seeking his third four-year term in the Nov. 5 election.
Zinni formed Buckeye Transport Group LLC on Aug. 11, 2017, and dissolved the corporation June 9, according to the Ohio secretary of states office.
Zinni and Buckeye Transport entered into contracts with three companies to purchase vehicles and equipment that led to lawsuits in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
She alone also faces three other lawsuits in Trumbull County Central District Court for failing to pay credit card bills.
When initially asked by this newspaper on her candidate questionnaire if shes ever been involved as a plaintiff or a defendant in any civil legal action and, if so, to explain, Zinni wrote: Was the owner of a small trucking company and was involved in a lawsuit after going out of business due to economy and COVID-19.
But its much more than that.
The squirming in her seat continues here:
