4. I'm sure it is where it needs to be

I live in a deep red part of East Texas. No Democratic presidential candidate is gonna be buying ads in my media market. So, I don't see them on TV either

That would be a waste of money that can be spent in WI, SC, AZ, GA, etc

6. Yes. The End is perfect - The oligarchs install Vance as President (in waiting)

I think Vance won't have to wait long.

I think trump's days are numbered. Perhaps putin will dispatch someone with novichok or polonium to rid the repuglicons of this loathsome beast.

And then we can mourn the loss of our experiment in democracy.

Harris will preside over the counting of electoral votes. Pretty sure she'll stop him.

16. If he's just not going to leave,

It's because there wasn't an election, and in 8 years there won't be an electoral college to preside over.

The only way the comment makes any sense is in the context of the next electoral college in January 2025, and it doesn't make sense in that context because it will be Harris, not Vance, presiding over the electoral college. That's only one fact from reality (wrong person presiding on 1/2024). Both of the other scenarios posed are two or more steps from reality (He wins, the law changes to make a third term possible, and Vance presides over the electoral college in 2029 OR He wins and just decides not to leave - which wouldn't be an electoral college (with Vance refusing to certify the election - it would be something even wilder - like abolishing elections, declaring martial law, etc. none of those square with the image of Vance showing with the comment that there won't be anyone to stop him next time).

17. I get your point but another possibility is if Vance is elected VP and runs in 2028

He can then refuse to certify a Dem win.

The freaking point is these guys are crooks.

10. It's disappointing that the end of the ad suggests that Vance will be in the same position Pence was in

vis-a-vis the electoral college. He will not be.

On January 6, Biden will be in office and Harris will be VP. She is the one who presides over the joint meeting of the House and Senate to count the electoral votes. Pence was only in the position to stop Trump's scheme because he was the then current VP, not because he was on the 2020 ticket with Trump.
