If you can, PLEASE vote in Early Voting or Absentee as EARLY as you can

Campaigns have GOTV priorities. Those who have a healthy voting record - P1
Occasional voters - P2
and so on

Until records are updated to say P1 people have voted, campaigns will focus their GOTV efforts on this first, most reliable tier.

The earlier those who are passionate Dems vote, efforts will be output to urge this. If you Vote early on Day 1, 2, or 3 - then the campaign can move on down the line and focus their limited last-minute resources on turning out less frequent voters.

If you can, PLEASE vote on Day 1, 2, or 3. The Obama campaign had so many identified supporters vote on Day 1 they were able to refocus their GOTV effort resources to push deeper into their bench depth and VIOLA! they kicked serious butt.

So pretty please, with sugar on it, Vote as early as you can!

I live in such a red hellhole, it's not even considered a swing state. (TN) Goddess help me. But I'm planning my escape. LOL

Looking hard at WI.

Close enough to Chicago to at least get some real food a few times per year. LOL

I've been starving in the south for well over a decade.

Good reminder post on why it’s important to vote as soon as it’s possible to do so.

We received our ballots last Friday, completed them Friday night, put them in the mail Saturday, and got confirmation that the county registrar had received them and verified them on Monday. We are certainly not in a swing state, but every bit of resources that can be directed toward new voters helps.

If I don't have to park in the Church parking lot, walk past the little US flags poked in the grass... and see the cheerful older woman greet me at the reception table...

And depending on the year... insert my ballot into the contraption and push down to punch holes... or use a pen to fill bubbles...

I haven't fulfilled my civic duty. I like it more when there's a little line when I get tired standing around.

Voting is like going to the gym to blow off steam.

Ballots will start being mailed the next day. I expect my ballot will arrive soon after that. I will fill it in and deliver it to the drop box same day. I always vote early so GOTV resources aren’t wasted on me.

It felt very good to vote for Kamala and Tim and Senator Sherrod Brown and three Dem Ohio Supreme Court justices and an anti-gerrymandering initiative and all the Dem down ballot candidates.

I would have mailed it already if that wasn't an option. Just another couple days and the ballot box will be open so I don't have to trust DeJoy's postal service.

Those who don't have a drop box option, should go ahead and mail ASAP. But, also know how to check the status of your ballot to confirm it was received, and make a plan to vote provisionally if it is not registered as received by Election Day.

in Georgia. I might do a drive by on days 1 and 2 to see if it's something manageable. All of this is assuming I'm released from jury duty, which is scheduled for Monday. 😥 I was hoping it was a mistake since Monday is Columbus Day... but nope. Apparently the court will be open.
